NORLUB is a drilling fluid additive used to reduce the coefficient of friction and facilitate movement of drilling tools when drilling oil and gas wells. It is compatible with all types of water-based muds, including highly mineralized systems.
It effectively reduces metal-to-metal and metal-to-crust friction coefficients.
NORLUB possesses improved anti-seize properties, has low foaming ability, it is highly dispersible in water, resistant to extreme temperatures.
It is recommended for use during opening of productive formations.
It is not toxic and causes no adverse effect on parameters of the drilling fluid.
Recommended treatment
Recommended concentration level in the amount from 0,5 to 2,5 % of the solution volume is considered as optimal.
