Since 2016, the waste anti-icing fluid (ethylene glycol C2H6O2) has been included in the Federal Waste Cadastre Classifier as hazard class 3 waste (environmental restoration is carried out for at least 10 years after reduction the hazardous impact).
In average, up to 24 tons of liquid is poured on the platform in case of performance of 100 flights per day. Refusal to dispose AIL waste results in penalties imposed by the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, which can even lead to shutdown of an enterprise.

AIL WASTE COLLECTION EQUIPMENT
In order to collect AIL waste from airport aprons we use the vacuum technology with modified equipment designed specifically for collection of AIL waste under heavy rainfall conditions. Application of this equipment is also unique for Russia.
In order to carry out collection of storm water, we use a vacuum machine with the modified equipment.

Collected AIL waste is accumulated in specially equipped storage facilities ensuring safe accumulation and delivery for transportation with further neutralization.
After accumulation, the AIL waste is shipped to special transport means and is transported to the locations of neutralization.
